So there's this local foundation scholarship thing that asks students to submit proposals for projects they'd like to do over a five-month period, and if the student is chosen as a finalist, they actually
do the project and get a chance to compete against the other finalists for the scholarship. And I sent off a proposal for a project to create and self-publish a thirty-two page comic book in that amount of time, but when I wasn't notified of anything on Friday November 6 (the day the finalists were supposed to be announced), I figured I hadn't gotten it. So, since I suddenly had all this free time, I slacked off on all my obligations (portfolio,
"Madness Love", etc.), figuring I'd have time to do it later.
...Apparently they just notified me a
week late.So now I've been rushing like mad trying to get this $#^@ thing scripted so I can start the pencils so I can start the inks so I can start the coloring and start driving myself
insane, and so OF COURSE I've been afflicted with horrible writer's block, so I released my frustrations like so. Spanky because he's the protagonist of the story (the whole issue is gonna be a collection of short stories strung together) I'm currently stuck on, and ~
